This is a project for my DIGITAL FORM class that mandated the theme of designing a robotic arm in organic shape.
I chose to explore a scenario in supermarkets and stores, where I observed that while many stores have special shopping carts with seats for disabled people, it can still be inconvenient for them to reach and retrieve items from the shelves without assistance. Given the current trend of labor shortages, I saw an opportunity to improve accessibility and independence by introducing robotic arms to assist with this task.

My concept is to design a shopping cart with a robotic arm in a sense of gentle and natural. I inspired by these images and decided to design the robotic arm part with transparent cover to make it seem less harsh and cold.
