Hi!

My name is Leona and I am from Beijing, China. Virgo. ISFJ.

Ever since I was young, I have been curious about various things and enjoyed the feeling of learning something new. One of my fondest childhood memories is attending 20 different extracurricular classes a week, including calligraphy, painting, pottery, piano and so on. This experience has helped me develop the ability to learn and adapt to new things really fast.

Now, I am an industrial designer with a background of advertising.  Through my undergraduate coursework, I gained knowledge in areas such as marketing, consumer insights, advertising design, and advertising filming. This has made me focus on human-centered design and always concern about the overall market environment and trends.

Through my experience in advertising planning projects, I gradually realized the importance of product design itself. In addition to my studies in advertising, I have always been interested in art and design, so I took some courses in visual communication art during my undergraduate studies. In these courses, I learned about graphic design, curation, and packaging design. My professor always emphasized the power of design and how it can make the world a better place. One day, the professor invited an alumna who was a product designer to give a presentation. I was fascinated by the process of using design to create real-life objects that can change people's lives. This experience made me decide to change my major and start studying industrial design.

During my studies in industrial design, I found that I enjoyed the feeling of logical decision-making throughout the traditional design process. From ideation to tests to bringing ideas to life, the iterative process of refining and perfecting the design until it meets both my and the users' expectations was extremely satisfying. I enjoy designing everyday objects, furnitures and electronic devices and I strive for a comfortable and minimalist form in my designs.
